Story of a Rescued Cat
Will
Before: when he was found in greece

Now : after treatment in greece and germany
The cat that was rescued last year from an oelbarrel.
The story of Will
The greek person who took care :
hello!
i'm stella and at the moment i am the one who's keeping the kitten ( 3 months old, male) that was found inside a machine filled with a black thick sticky liquid, which was supposed to be burned out oil.we still don't know what it really was.anyway, the kitten stayed there for almost 3 days with people hearing him calling for help but doing nothing to help him.he was covered with that thing head to toes.
When two women found him they tried to feed him some chicken, but he was also eating that black thing stuck on his boby and on the food as well.when a friend of mine called me to go there with her what we saw was a black mass.we could't tell if he had 4 legs or a tail.they were all stuck together on his body.after seeing pieces of meat on his body we thought that the liquid was something toxic that had started burning and destroying his tissues but after taking him out of the machine we were relieved to find out that it was pieces of chicken stuck on his body.
For almost 3 hours we were trying to rinse it off with warm water and the liquid for dish washing.nothing good came out of it.the animal was all stressed out and our hands became black and sticky.after going to the vet(we could not find anyone at 3 in the afternoon) at 6 and being impossible to use a shaving machine or scisors to take away the stuck fur we made some phone calls and after using a couple of options ,which resulted to nothing ,we took the risk to use petroleum, which worked out pretty well.after 8 hours of rubbing and rinsing off in 3 days in total(when he could not take it anymore we would stop) he was all clean.the last time we tried to clean the face we kept him sedated as it was impossible to do otherwise.his colour is orange, not black as we originally thought.the only problem was that the rubbing and petroleum on his face caused some damage on the skin and some openings ..after cutting off the dirty remaining fur of the face and using a moisturising-skin repairing cream the face is now just fine.
The vet consulted me to use antibiotics for a week.all is over now and he is almost happy.he is a bit tired and his look is still filled with sadness, but he has already started playing with two other strays of the same age,i keep in my house for the time being and i think he is going to be ok both physically and psychologically in the future.we are trying to find a home for him.that's his stoty.i named him" will".you can understand why.
Thanks for all the advice you gave stella but we had already used petroleum.Maybe it wasnot the best but at the time, having absolutelly no clue what that black thing was toxic or not we had to take it off his fur no matter what.first we tried it on his tail and it worked so we did the rest of his body.
have a good night.

This is the story of Danai and Stella.
Unfortunately it’s a very typical story for Greece.

One rainy day one friend of mine while she was walking in a busy street of our city heared very shrill miiaouuuuuing.. The rain was heavy and she wondered where the miauing was coming from.
She walks towards an empty space where some people use to feed cats and show. And she discovered 3 tiny kittens crying in a box. The box was full of water and 3 poor kittens were “swimming” in the cold.
Many people were near but nobody cared.
My friend was upset and she took them immediately. Unfortunately for one was too late but the other 2 Danai and Stella are now 2 very nice and health kittens 2 months old… They had sneeze and diarrhea and they were only 2 weeks old but now they play all the time and they want petting and hug. We try to find new homes for them and we hope that they will be as lucky as in they first days of their life. At the moment they live happily with their friend Fany who was also found as a kitten alone in a street and who is a bit older.
Kisses
